
This year's district theme is "Take The Lead." We have asked the student leadership teams in #PartOfThePride to share who they think are inspiring leaders. On the first Tuesday of each month, we will be featuring their responses in a series called #TakeTheLeadTuesday.


This week (Nov. 4-8) is National Psychology Week and the Pennies by the Pound Campaign. All proceeds will benefit United Way of El Dorado.

Grandview students in Mr. Shum's class participated in a Halloween Scavenger Hunt this morning! They learned all about pumpkins and the history of Halloween. Students learned other Halloween facts as they searched for clues. #PartOfThePride






Middle school STUCO student visited Blackmore today for some peer mentoring with Kindergarten and first grade students. Even though we do not all attend school in the same building, we are all #PartOfThePride!







Skelly students have been enjoying a spooky obstacle course during PE to help burn off some energy and excitement leading up to Halloween. Exercise is way more fun when the gym is wearing a costume! #PartOfThePride

EHS NHS is hosting their annual blood drive this morning. It offers students and staff a great opportunity to give back to the community while helping earn scholarships for NHS members. We've got some wonderful people as #PartOfThePride!

USD 490 is celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week (Oct. 28 - Nov. 1) to encourage students to remain drug-free. This year, the national theme is "Life is a Movie. Film Drug Free." Join us in wearing RED on Wed., Oct. 30 to show support for drug abuse prevention! #PartOfThePride

Grandview fourth graders in Mr. Shum's class got to learn using pumpkin math last week. Several classroom dads joined in the fun, helping carve pumpkins while students cleaned, estimated, counted, and roasted the seeds. We love to find fun ways to learn in #PartOfThePride











THANK YOU to Miguel at Anita's for providing food for our first ESL Family Night on Oct. 14. We had great conversations about how to best support our non-English speaking families. Next month's topic will be about partnering to support student academic success. #PartOfThePride
