The middle school cross country meet at Wartick Farms has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. The conditions of the course are too wet and muddy. The EMS cross country team WILL have practice after school today.
The EMS tennis match at Prairie Hills has been been postponed to September 18th due to the rain.

Thursday, Brynli Rice & Brooke Hadley showed outstanding initiative at the 7th & 8th Grade football games. These two young ladies took it upon themselves to clean up the entire student section before leaving BG stadium! Without a single complaint they voluntarily collected every last piece of trash. Thank you for representing EMS in this outstanding way 🌟👏👭👍
🌟 Grandparents' Day at El Dorado Middle School:🌟
Our Grandparents' Day last Friday was nothing short of spectacular! 😊
We had an overwhelming turnout with over 200 grandparents. It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and cherished moments. 💖
Our incredible students had the opportunity to show their grandparents around their classrooms and the school building. It was a chance to share their daily school experiences and the exciting world of learning with their grandparents. 📚🏫
But the fun didn't stop there! Our students and their grandparents enjoyed delicious cookies and delightful conversations in the commons. It was a heartwarming scene to witness generations coming together to create lasting memories. Some grandparents talked about the joy of now being able to better understand when their grandchildren are talking about school. Many grandparents traveled great distances, one 700 miles, to be able to attend this event. Thank you for supporting El Dorado Middle School. 🍪☕

7th Grade Football parents/guardians. We are looking for a couple adults to run the chain crew for home football games. The staff members named as the EMS Staff of the Month for both August and September are Randy Morris and Lindsay Cooper. We are blessed to have them in the building and part of the EMS staff.
EMS cross country will not be attending the meet in Prairie Hills today. Runners can only participate in 7 meets, and we have 8 on our schedule. This keeps us in compliance with KSHSAA rules.

🐾 I am thrilled to share that some our students have been amazing since the start of school. These Cats have been going above and beyond in so many ways. From their dedication in the classroom to their kindness on the bus, teachers and bus drivers have recognized this and spent time writing positive office referrals for a few of these students.
🎉 While delivering the rewards in the classroom, I encouraged students to keep building strong relationships, working to be positive role models, and embracing middle school for all it has to offer so they could earn a positive office referral themselves. Together, we can make El Dorado Middle School a special place to grow and learn
