
Students are participating in a book tasting event in the library this week, exploring a variety of genres and discovering new books to read. Placemats and menus help guide their experience as they sample books from different genres. The event is a fun and interactive way to get students excited about reading and familiarize them with different types of literature.

EMS Celebrating the tennis teams big win in Haysville. What to go Cats!!!

The EMS Tennis team participated in the Goddard Invitational, securing a 3rd place team finish and ensuring that all players received medals. Congratulations to the EMS Tennis team!


Winter I Sports parent meeting tonight at 6:00. We want to get you all in and out ASAP. The AD promises NOT to speak too long! This is for girls basketball, boys wrestling, and cheer. Winter II parent meeting will be December 14th for boys basketball, girls wrestling and cheer.

Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict with the Pride/Site Council meeting and the football games tonight, we have decided to cancel the meeting for tonight. Thanks for your understanding and support of EMS.


EMS will host a Scholars Bowl Parent/Guardian meeting on November 20th at 6:00 PM. We will meet in room 800 to discuss the upcoming season. Practice begins on November 27th.

Winter I Sports Parent Meeting will be held on Friday, September 22nd at 6:00 PM. We will meet in the main gym at EMS. Coaches for girls basketball, boys wrestling, and cheer will be in attendance. If you child plans to participate in a winter sport, they must have a KSHSAA physical and concussion form on file in the office before the first practice on October 16th. Please call the office if you have questions.
Boys basketball and girls wrestling starts in January. We will have a separate parent meeting for those sports on December 14th.
