Due to the extreme temperatures and for the safety of our students, staff, and families, the Back to School Kickoff/Jamboree scheduled for this Friday, August, 25, 2023, has been canceled.
Many of the activities that were planned for that event will be moved to the first home football game on September 1. There will still be a discount offered on sports passes. More details will be released about those discounted passes and postponed activities as they become available in the next few days.

Shout out to all of the EMS football team parents who helped provide a watermelon feed (breakfast burritos, bananas, crackers, Gatorade, etc) for the team after their Saturday morning practice! We are glad to have you all as #PartOfThePride!
ATTENTION: Due to expected high temperatures this week, the EMS football team will have morning practices. Practice will begin at 6:00. Players will need to bring a towel and soap/shampoo to take a shower after practice. Coaches will make sure they are ready for school by 7:50.
USD 490 will be putting additional safety measures in place this week in response to the forecasted temperatures. Parents/students: Please be on the lookout for communication from your specific coach/sponsor that outlines any changes this week for your individual sport/activity.
