This selective, two year initiative supports undergraduates from Kansas who are dedicated to serving rural and underserved communities as primary care physicians. Participants receive mentorship, rich exposure to clinical settings, community focused training and guaranteed admission to KUMC Medical School upon completion. Our SROs are focused on learning at the Kansas Juvenile Officer's Association Conference in Wichita this week. They are honing leadership skills, learning about law updates, and how to keep their focus on accomplishing their school safety goals. Officer Nielsen got a special basketball balancing lesson from Guinness Book of World Records holder Dave Davlin, who successfully balanced 12 basketballs on his body to earn his spot in the record book.

Extend applications for fall 2025 have been re-opened until July 25, 2025, due to schedule changes that caused additional openings.
The application will close Friday, July 25, 2025, and interviews will be scheduled for the week of July 28.
