Goal 1: Engagement

75 percent

Enhance, implement, and monitor CHAMPS universally throughout the building

Action Plans:

  • Universal expectations communicated through certified and classified staff meetings (i.e.: lining up, recess, cafeteria, arrival, dismissal, hallways, etc)

  • Enhance and improve current practices/procedures (i.e.: cafeteria/lunch recess/arrival/dismissal)

  • Implement improved onboarding of new staff and classified staff

  • Posting of universal CHAMPS/MAC posters throughout common areas

Goal 2: Engagement

50 percent

Enhance, implement, and monitor Zones of Regulation universally throughout the building

Action Plans:

  • Universal expectations communicated through certified and classified staff meetings (i.e.: Training of Zones of Regulation, Check-In Stations, Affirmation Stations, and Conflict Resolution Areas, and Monthly Check-in’s)

  • Increase awareness of Zones of Regulation by implementing improved onboarding of new staff, classified staff, and parent engagement

  • Create ‘Check-in’ Stations or daily check-in activity in classrooms

  • Create ‘Safe Spaces’ in every classroom

  • Create and implement ‘Affirmation Stations’ and ‘Conflict Resolution Areas

20 percent

Increase teachers' tool boxes for FastBridge interventions during core instruction and/or reading MTSS tier time

Action Plans:

  • Develop and structure ELA lesson plans for Tier 2 Reading based on the KSDE Structured Literacy Time Recommendations

  • Explore FastBridge interventions and identify usable options
