Grandview hosted author Andrea Cassell to share her 'Kibby' books with our Kindergarten thru 2nd grade classes this week.

Due to heavy rain and flooding, USD 490 buses may be running late on Thursday, May 5th. All buildings will be open at their regular times. Stay safe Wildcats!

Congratulations to Blakely on her art accomplishment!! So proud of you!! She was accepted into a national anthology of artists. It is very difficult to be accepted in this contest. I40 USD 490 elementary students were entered and only 3 total (1 for each school) were accepted.

Mrs. Tannehill's 5th graders chose to have a class petting zoo as a class reward.





The fifth graders had a great field trip to Topeka!

Our kindergartners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders presented a terrific spring pajama party program at the PAC on Tuesday evening. They are under the most fabulous director, Mrs. Crawford!





Wildcat Welcome for incoming Preschoolers and Kindergartners was a fun evening at Extend!




We are grateful for our volunteers that come to Grandview each Wednesday to read with some of our students. It makes a difference. We also appreciate Our district volunteer coordinator, Mrs. Rickard, for all of her assistance.

Third graders were treated to a special breakfast to encourage and support them on their very first state assessment.





April Fool's Day brought up lots of surprises and fun at Grandview! First, our 5th grade announcement readers told the students that there would be no lunches served! April Fools! Then I tried to convince the students and staff that due the high number of office referrals (not really) that there would be NO recesses all day! (April Fools!). But Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. Carleton came up with the best--An Official Flood Drill!! (April Fools). Great Fun!

The EHS Prom candidates and emcees came to Grandview and spent time this afternoon with our 3rd graders!

Mrs. Bright's kindergartners led the Pledge of Allegiance for the El Dorado City Council meeting Monday evening. So Proud!



Grandview Teachers Honored With Partners in Education Grants
Mrs. Emma Schrag-Culbertson, social worker, Ms. Brittany Hartman, 5th grade teacher, and Mr. Ira Bane, art teacher all won Apple Grants for resources to assist our students toward success. We are proud of them!



The 5th graders had a great time at the Salt Museum.
It was also a beautiful day, so they got to enjoy pizza in the park, too!

Students and staff had a great time honoring our retiring counselor for National Counselors' Week!



Students had a fabulous time on Valentine's Day thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers.
