It was a beautiful day both outside on Friday and inside as Grandview was visited by almost 300 grandparents! It was fun with activities, tours, the book fair, and recesses.

Kindergartners had a busy day making bread, butter, pizzas, and ending with a science project brought to them by two mad scientists (their teachers). The teachers were a bit tired at the end of a fantastic day in kindergarten!
Mrs. Rohr is sharing the fabulous merchandise available from the Scholastic Book Fair at Grandview. Remember that the Book Fair is open 7:30-8:00 AM before school and 3:15-4:00 after school. We're also open on Thursday evening from 5:00-6:30. Thanks for your support!

Here is more information for the YMCA After School Program. If you have any questions not covered in these flyers you can email Heath Henderson, Principal at Skelly (hwhenderson@usd490.org). We need more kids to sign up before we can get this program started. Sign up today!

It's great to be back to Grandview!

It's been a great few days now that our students are back in the building. Our theme is 'Global Learners, Let the Adventure Begin!' We are ready for our new adventurous year.

Buses are rolling and Crossing Guards are in place for safe travels to school!! We are excited to start our first day of the new school year. Soon the schools will be buzzing with the laughter and conversation of students, excited to share what they did over the summer!!

We are excited to have everyone back tomorrow!! Check out what's for lunch. There will be 3 choices. There will be a hot entree, OPAA to go, and an entree salad. Breakfast will offer 2 choices. These will be available K-8. Please visit our website for the daily menus.

Kindergarten will have a staggered start. This means that all kindergarten students with last names beginning with A-L will attend on Wednesday, August 10th for the entire day. Kindergarten students with last names beginning with M-Z will attend their first day on Thursday, August 11th for the entire day. This will enable the teachers to work with them in smaller groups and be able to assign classes with a bit more information.
You will receive a phone call on Thursday afternoon telling you which class your student is assigned. ALL kindergarteners come on Friday reporting to their new classroom.

Thank you to Freya Study Club Annual Service Project for donating backpacks. Each backpack is filled with school supplies for grades ranging from PreK to third grade. We appreciate your donation!
