Ready 2 Read is a free summer reading program in El Dorado for kids ages 4-9. Sessions are M/W or T/TH 12:30-1:15 or 1:30-2:15 PM. The goal is to help kids become successful readers. The EHS prom royalty candidates are visiting Blackmore students today for some mentoring fun! We've got great students in #PartOfThePride!








Blackmore Elementary is one of only 100 Kansas schools to receive a 2024 Challenge Award! Blackmore received the award for outstanding achievement and uncommon accomplishments of students based on the Kansas Assessment Program (KAP) results in math and reading. #PartOfThePride

The EWOW organization's annual walk/bike to school initiative is running Mon., Apr. 7 - Fri., May 9, 2025. The program provides students with a method to track the days they walk or bike to school and awards prizes to encourage elementary students to exercise in #PartOfThePride.

Blackmore kindergarten learned about garden plants from KSU Research and Extension today. They guessed what was in the mystery bucket (a potato), read "Tops and Bottoms" and talked about which parts of plants we eat (root, leaves, seeds, flower, fruit, or stem). #PartOfThePride





Nominate a current or former teacher for the Kansas Teachers' Hall of Fame! Nominations are due by February 1, 2025. Blackmore 4th grade delivered handmade Thanksgiving placemats to residents of El Dorado Care and Rehab Center on Nov. 15, 2024. This heartwarming interaction not only brightened the residents' day but also taught our students the value of community service and the joy of giving.

Our annual district service project Stuff the Truck kicks off Mon., Nov. 11! Students and staff are encouraged to donate food, toys, and coats in the weeks leading up the the main event on Dec. 6. On that day, students will deliver items and perform holiday music at Walmart.

Blackmore's Fall Festival family night is in full swing and will continue until 6:30 PM! Come enjoy fun games, grab some supper, and see your favorite bears! It's definitely looking like fall in #PartOfThePride!










Students enjoyed fall-themed activities today like the pumpkin drop and scarecrow contest, and rotated between outdoor learning stations with live animals, soil composition, and pumpkin seed planting. Fall Festival for Blackmore families kicks off at 5 PM. #PartOfThePride










Middle school STUCO student visited Blackmore today for some peer mentoring with Kindergarten and first grade students. Even though we do not all attend school in the same building, we are all #PartOfThePride!
