McDonalds People Experience Lead Caitlyn Beneke presents McTeacher Night check to Blackmore Principal Chad Schuetz

Elementary teachers from Blackmore and Grandview had the opportunity to work at a McDonald’s McTeacher Night during the fall to raise money for their classrooms. Skelly will have the same opportunity this spring. Grandview staff volunteered on October 24 and Blackmore staff volunteered on November 21.

Teachers volunteer to work on a designated night for their building. They take orders, operate the cash register, fill orders, and deliver food to customers in exchange for 10 percent of the total sales. They also receive 100 percent of money earned from any cookies sold during their shift.

Both schools raised over $1,200 in cookie sales. Blackmore sold 61 dozen cookies for a total of $1,229 and Grandview sold 60 dozen for a total of $1,208.75. For the total sales, Blackmore earned $386.19 and Grandview earned $357.48. The combined total for both schools between cookie sales and percentage of total sales was $3,181. 42.

These proceeds will be divided between all of the classrooms whose teachers volunteered on McTeacher Night to support classroom projects and activities.
