El Dorado High School and Extend JAG-K students gathered at the Performing Arts Center for the annual Initiation and Installation Ceremony on Oct. 22, 2026.
Students enrolled in the JAG-K program at EHS or Extend are initiated into the JAG-K Career Association. This important component of the program is designed to help members achieve academic and career success through the development and reinforcement of: respect for the dignity of work; effective decision-making skills; pride in accomplishments; positive self-esteem; respect for authority; and concern for the needs of others.
There are 110 students enrolled in JAG-K this year. They will participate in leadership training, explore job opportunities, volunteer in community service projects, and network with community members.
Students voted on officers to lead the program, and they were installed during the ceremony. They pledged to be a positive example to their peers and lead the JAG-K Career Association in the four key areas of Leadership Development, Career Preparation, Social Awareness and Civic Awareness.
This year’s officers are:
Jayda Brown, EHS President
Jaycelyn Jones, EHS Vice President
Naomi Morales, EHS Secretary
Kimberly Kelley, EHS Parliamentarian
Aydin Haworth, Extend President
Payton Murphy-Ward, Extend Vice President
Arisa Peryer, Extend Secretary
Amber Wilkinson, Extend Parliamentarian
Two students were selected to be regional officers:
Jaycelyn Jones, Regional Secretary
Jewelsuna Murphy, Regional Parliamentarian
The JAG-K program helps students overcome barriers, graduate high school, and prepare them for college or career pathways that will allow them to meet their full potential as leaders. Ninety-five percent of participants graduate high school and 86 percent report a positive outcome post-graduation.
