El Dorado High School FCCLA student Gage Walden earned a gold medal and placed eighth in the nation in Public Policy Advocate at the National FCCLA competition in Washington D.C. July 9, 2026.

Emma Villa also competed in the leadership event and earned a silver medal. Each state is only allowed to bring two entries to the national level, so even competing at nationals is an honor and both EHS students are bringing home medals!

Villa and Walden also enjoyed exploring Washington D.C. and learning more about our nation's history while they were there.
