El Dorado High School is excited to announce the hiring of Robert Isenhour as the new Head Baseball Coach, continuing a strong tradition of leadership and commitment to student-athletes.

Isenhour is already a familiar face in the El Dorado community. He currently serves USD 490 as a Special Education teacher on the Extend Campus, is an assistant coach for middle school football, and spent the past season as an assistant baseball coach at El Dorado High School. His promotion reflects both his dedication to students and his passion for the game.

“I look forward to getting the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the baseball community and culture in El Dorado,” Isenhour said.

Isenhour brings a well-rounded background in both athletics and academics. He played collegiate baseball at Angelo State University (NCAA Division II), Century Junior College, and Tabor College, where he helped lead the program to an NAIA Opening Round World Series appearance. During his time at Tabor, Isenhour earned numerous academic and athletic honors, including KCAC Champion of Character, Academic All-American, and Gold Glove recognition.

Isenhour holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Performance K-12 with a minor in Special Education, and is certified in K-12 Physical Education and CPR. His coaching experience also includes serving as Head Coach for El Dorado Post 81 Baseball, working with both 15U and 17U teams, along with involvement in youth camps and community programs.

“I want to coach baseball because it is the ultimate metaphor for life,” Isenhour said. “With all the game of baseball has done for me, I aim to do the same for others.”

El Dorado High School administrators are confident that Isenhour’s leadership, character, and commitment to developing young people will positively impact the baseball program and the broader school community.

Please join USD 490 in welcoming Coach Robert Isenhour as he leads the Wildcats baseball program into the future.
