El Dorado Middle School students placed at the Patriot League North Math Relays event on Feb. 27, 2024.
This year, the league changed the format from two 45-minute math tests to five smaller tests covering the following math topics:
- ratios and proportional relationships (seventh grade only)
- functions (eighth grade only)
- The Number System
- expressions and equations
- geometry
- statistics and probability
Each school could enter individuals or a team of three for each topic.
The seventh grade team of Jonah Love, Vaneza Mendoza, and Preston Fielden placed third in ratios and proportional relationships.
The seventh grade team of Jonah Love, Patrick Andrews, and Grace Bush placed third in statistics and probability.
Eighth grade student Gage Walden competed in functions, The Number System, and expressions and equations. Eighth grade student Jewels Murphy competed in functions and The Number System.
