Nearly four dozen El Dorado High School students will see their creative work in print this year as part of the 2025 Pine Tree Poetry Collection, a national anthology of student writing.

A total of 84 El Dorado High students submitted entries to the contest last year, and 47 were selected for publication — the school’s largest group ever accepted.

English teacher Heather Fangmann, who has encouraged students to enter the annual competition for several years, said she is pleased to see such strong participation and success.

The Pine Tree Poetry Collection showcases student poets from across the country. This year’s published El Dorado High School students will join their peers in a professionally bound anthology distributed to schools, libraries and families nationwide.

The recognition not only highlights individual talent but also reflects the importance of creative expression in education. When students see their work in a book alongside others from across the nation, it validates their effort and inspires them to keep writing.

Families will have the opportunity to purchase copies of the anthology. For more information, please visit Pine Tree Poetry’s website. www.pientreepoetry.com
